歐洲數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)（The European Mathematical Society）在1990年創(chuàng)立,，總部設(shè)在瑞士，旨在促進(jìn)純粹與應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)之研究,對(duì)數(shù)學(xué)教育之課題提供協(xié)助與建議,關(guān)切數(shù)學(xué)與社會(huì)之廣泛關(guān)系,促進(jìn)各國(guó)數(shù)學(xué)家互動(dòng),建立歐洲數(shù)學(xué)家的認(rèn)同感,在超國(guó)家機(jī)構(gòu)間代表數(shù)學(xué)社群。EMS到目前為止個(gè)人會(huì)員達(dá)到3000多人,，由來自歐洲60多個(gè)國(guó)家的應(yīng)用和計(jì)算數(shù)學(xué)家,、計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)家、工程師、統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)家和數(shù)學(xué)教育者組成,。EMS在歐洲有著非常重要的學(xué)術(shù)地位,，同時(shí)也是德國(guó)《數(shù)學(xué)文摘》的主要編委,。

EMS出版的研究期刊涵蓋了整個(gè)數(shù)學(xué)領(lǐng)域，既有基礎(chǔ)理論研究,，也有應(yīng)用研究,，內(nèi)容豐富而全面，在高等研究領(lǐng)域非常著名,，2013年已出版的15種學(xué)術(shù)型期刊中,，80%被SCI收錄為核心期刊。根據(jù)期刊引用報(bào)告(JCR)統(tǒng)計(jì),，其中Journal of the EuropeanMathematical Society (JEMS),、Journal of NoncommutativeGeometry (JNCG)的影響因子分別高達(dá)1.736和1.296。

2015~2017年,，EMS出版社推出6種新刊,，使期刊總量達(dá)到22種，其中研究型期刊總量為21種：
